Ribuan perangkat desa di Sidoarjo berunjuk rasa di pendopo kabupaten pada Selasa (20/6/2023) pagi. Mereka menagih janji Ahmad Muhdlor Ali Bupati Sidoarjo untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan perangkat desa. Massa yang tergabung dalam Persatuan Perangkat Desa Indonesia (PPDI) Kabupaten Sidoarjo ini berkumpul di depan pendopo. Mereka mengenakan baju dinas lengkap dan melakukan orasi. “Kami datang untuk menagih janji Bupati. Dua tahun lalu ketika diundang Bupati, kami dijanjikan peningkatan kesejahteraan setiap tahun. Namun pada kenyataannya tidak ada sama sekali,” kata Dian Sudariyanto Ketua PPDI Kabupaten Sidoarjo kepada awak media. Dian mengungkapkan, jumlah perangkat desa di Sidoarjo sekitar 3.500 orang.
