My Story Behind the Scenes of KKN 2024

Village Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-TD) is one of the activities that is eagerly awaited after the internship.Through KKN activities, we can apply the knowledge we have learned, gain practical experience in the field, and contribute directly to society.

I am Juliana Fitria, a student at the Narotama Surabaya Management Study Program, who would like to share stories and experiences at the 2024 Narotama University Dimension Group Dimension Group Real Work Village Thematic Work Lecture (KKN-TD).

In this KKN activity, I had the opportunity to be in a team with the informatics engineering study program, totaling 11 students. The KKN activity began with determining the location of the KKN, before leaving for Ganggangpanjang Village we conducted a survey in 2 villages. Until finally on July 25 2024 we conducted a survey and received permission to carry out KKN in Ganggangpanjang Village. I was very happy because I got the KKN location which was said to be still close to Surabaya and the campus location. Apart from that, I also got a field supervisor from the village apparatus for KKN students, we called him Mas Pandu. My friends and I will carry out KKN activities for approximately 2 weeks, namely 15 August – 2 September 2024. This time I will tell you about our activities for one week.

Before the KKN activities began, we approached and coordinated with village officials through meetings in each RT. Long story short, our first activity was the Opening of KKN on August 15 2024, then helping with documentation at the Tasyakuran Night activities on August 17, August 16 2024. Oh yes, unfortunately here I couldn't take part in the full activity. because there are activities and responsibilities on campus as the August 17th and PKKMB 2024 activity committee. So I also have to allocate time to be able to take part in activities that must be prioritized, after the opening activities and preparations for the August 17th competition in Ganggangpanjang Village on August 15th I went to campus and returned to the village on the afternoon of August 17 to help with competition activities and documentation of fishing activities with Ganggang Panjang Village in the evening. After that, on August 18 we took part and helped with the RW 02 Healthy Walk in Ganggangpanjang Village.

This Healthy Walk was the most exciting and very memorable activity in the first week, here we each got our own assignments and I was on the committee at the post for collecting Healthy Walk coupons. I followed the residents who walked from the Start in Punden Mbah Reco, "it's been a long time since I participated in an activity like this, let alone a health walk :D". It felt great to be able to join the residents and go around the RW 02 area, meeting friendly and enthusiastic residents welcoming the series of activities to celebrate 17 August. During the health walk door prize drawing process, it was seen that many people were still enthusiastic about taking part in the event at Punden Mbah Reco, mothers who were very enthusiastic about dancing with the singers on stage, fathers who were enthusiastic about listening from their seats in Punden . , and children who listen while playing and buying snacks in the Punden area. The activity went smoothly until it was time for the main door prize drawing, all the residents were waiting to see who would get it and yes, it turned out that without any arrangement, without any cheating or intentionality, the KKN group's lottery number was listed. as 5 and they get 5 prizes~
