Valuable Experience

Hello, my name is Dina, I want to tell you about my experience while participating in the CSS or COMMUNITY SERVICE SKILL program which was held in Ganggang Panjang village in January 2024.

The CSS program is a new program that all female students of SMK ten November Sidoarjo must take part in. Last year there was also this program but it only involved students majoring in nursing, but this year children majoring in FKK and others are also taking part in this program. 

The experience I want to convey is a very pleasant experience, namely that I got to know friends from different departments, I got to know the village midwife who was very friendly and kind. At the first meeting at the village hall I didn't know anyone but after that meeting I got to know my friends. cool friends, good accompanying teachers, and the officers there are very friendly.

The first day of posyandu I felt scared because it was my first experience, the next day I didn't feel scared, but felt very happy, even though I had a busy schedule, I didn't feel tired because the activity was very fun for me. 

A very pleasant experience was during the posyandu garden activity at the Ganggang Panjang village kindergarten, before I never knew what a posyandu garden was, after I found out it turned out that the posyandu garden was really fun to be able to play with the kindergarten children and learn together. 

The next experience was that I got material about posyandu which I had not previously received at school. After I participated in this program, I gained a lot of experience about posyandu activities which included filling out KMS, helping to check blood pressure, measuring height and so on.

The next experience was that I was able to socialize with local residents and children under five, apart from that I was able to practice my public speaking when communicating with them.

I think it's enough to tell you about my experiences while participating in this program, although I can't convey all the experiences I got.

I hope this CSS program will continue because this program is very helpful for health majors, especially nursing majors, to prepare them before leaving for PKL.
