Village of Ganggangpanjang A Haven of Natural Beauty, Warm-hearted Locals, and Collaborative Spirit

In the course of my Community Service Learning (CSL) program as a university student, I had the privilege of exploring and experiencing the charms of Ganggangpanjang Village. This hidden gem left an indelible mark on me with its mesmerizing landscapes, the welcoming nature of its residents, and their remarkable spirit of assistance.

Ganggangpanjang Village is situated beneath the warm sun, surrounded by lush greenery. Its picturesque scenery features undulating fields amidst rolling hills. The fresh air in this village is invigorating, offering a welcome respite after the hustle and bustle of urban life. The verdant trees lining the streets provide shade and tranquility, creating an atmosphere of serenity that words struggle to capture. The unspoiled natural beauty of the area allowed me to connect with the environment, highlighting the importance of preserving our natural heritage.

However, what truly sets Ganggangpanjang Village apart is its residents. Their friendliness, warmth, and radiant smiles welcomed us, the CSL participants, with open arms. The warmth of Ganggangpanjang's villagers was also evident in their collaboration with us. As Indonesia's Independence Day celebration approached, we were deeply assisted by their enthusiasm and sense of communal effort. With a volunteer spirit, they stood by our side, helping us in the preparations and execution of the August 17th festivities. Together, we organized parades, competitions, and other events to commemorate this historic day with zeal. They opened their homes to us, providing assistance in terms of materials, time, and energy, ensuring the events went smoothly and were filled with joy. This sense of togetherness taught us invaluable lessons about solidarity and teamwork embedded within the village's culture.

Ganggangpanjang Village is not just a visually appealing place, but a locale where kindness and serenity weave bonds of unity. The impression it left on me is profound, evoking a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to acquaint myself with an exceptional environment and community. Its tranquil natural beauty, friendly inhabitants, and the vibrant spirit of collaboration have collectively crafted a positive impression that will forever remain etched in my memory. Ganggangpanjang Village is a living testament to the harmony between humans and nature, as well as the power of goodness shared amongst one another, culminating in wonders amid simplicity.

The CSS program is a new program that all female students of SMK ten November Sidoarjo must take part in. Last year there was also this program but it only involved students majoring in nursing, but this year children majoring in FKK and others are also taking part in this program.  The experience I want to convey is a very pleasant experience, namely that I got to know friends from different departments, I got to know the village midwife who was very friendly and kind.
