My Experience KKN

Introduce my name is Suryo Nugroho from Narotama University Student. I was doing KKN (Community Service Program) in Luwung Village, Ganggang Panjang District, Sidoarjo City during August 2022. I will tell you about my experience during the first day of KKN. Before I tell you, let me first explain what is meant by KKN. KKN is an academic activity that has a certain theme and program in a condition of partner activity which is aligned with the implementation of research and community service programs with UB's internal and external funding sources. In KKN Students must form a group. At the University, a group is formed with a maximum of 12 students, and my group is Yunita as chairman, Fiqi as Deputy Chair, Ayu and Safira as Secretary, Umi as Treasurer, Me and Melly as Event Organizer, Bhaskara and Rojas as Equipment Team, Yearsky and Adit as IT Doc, and Fathin as Public Relations. Our Community Service Program will be held on 7, 14, 17, 21 and 28 August 2022.

The first KKN will be on August 6, 2022. We have made an agreement that before leaving, we will gather at Safira's house at 02:00 PM to leave together and bring the equipment needed on August 7, 2022. Before starting the Community Service Program on the first day we stay at home Mr. Pandu. Pak Pandu is a resident of Luwung Village who was assigned to guide our group in carrying out KKN in Luwung Village. We arrived at Luwung Village to be precise at Mr. Pandu's house at 05:00 PM. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Pandu's parents. The first agenda was to take part in the Neighbourhood Meeting in Luwung Village and introduce the work program that we had previously agreed on. In Luwung Village there are 4 Neighbourhood, namely RT 5, RT, 6 RT 7, RT 8. So we divided our group into 4 teams. Team 1 consisting of Yunita, Melly and Adit. . Team 2 consisting of Fiqi, Ayu and Yearsky. Team 3 Contains Fathin, Rojas and Safira. Team 4 consisting of me, Bhaskara and Umi. for Yunita and Bhaskara could not attend the Neighbourhood Meeting because Yunita was still working and Bhaskara did not attend because he ‘s Uncle passed away. So in my group there are only 2 people, namely me and Umi. My team got to participate in the RT 6 Meeting. After holding the RT meeting at around 08:00 PM. When we attended the RT Meeting, we were warmly welcomed by the residents of Luwung Hamlet. After attending the meeting we gathered back at Mr. Pandu's house to discuss the results of the meeting. We discussed to prepare the event for tomorrow until 11:00 PM and Doing Rest until 05:00 AM.

The next day at 05:00 am I woke up immediately to do the Dawn Prayer in congregation at the nearest Mosque. After praying I woke up my friends to prepare for our event. At 06:00 AM we have breakfast together. We divided the tasks for the women to prepare the reco garden space that will be used for the event and us the men in charge of taking the equipment and tools needed. The opening ceremony starts at 09:00 AM. Which was attended by residents and officials of Luwung Village. The community was very enthusiastic and helped make our event a success. After the opening ceremony, we immediately carried out our work activities, namely Reco Cleaning, Toga Planting and Video Making for the Kali SIdo Resik program. We brought about 30 plants from Surabaya. At 04:00 PM we continued our work program on Proposal Education for Village Youth. Village youths were also enthusiastic in participating in the event. The event closed at 05:00 we divided the tasks such as preparation for the event and then gathered back at Pak Pandu's house to evaluate today's event. At 07:30, we said goodbye to Pak Pandu and the villagers and went home together.
