The Privilege Of Participating In The 2025 Community Service Program

By: Deni Dwi Candra

Hello Everyone! My name is Deni Dwi Candra, a 6th-semester student at Narotama University. I had the privilege of participating in the 2025 Community Service Program (KKN), which became a memorable and meaningful experience in my academic journey. This program provided a valuable opportunity for us students to learn from and contribute directly to the community.

I was assigned to Dusun Luwung, located in Ganggangpanjang Village, Sidoarjo. The village lies not far from the city's hustle and bustle, yet it maintains a peaceful atmosphere and natural charm.

Throughout the program, my team and I carried out several work initiatives. One of the key activities was a sharing session about becoming a content creator. Instead of a formal training session, we chosean interactive approach, exchanging knowledge and experiences with the local residents. This way, we all learned together about how digital content can be used to promote creative ideas and empower the village.

We also worked on promotional materials for a local tourist site called Punden Mbah Retjo, located in Luwung Hamlet. We saw great potential in this destination, with its beautiful scenery, delicious local culinary offerings, and various traditional games for children. Through our content, we hope to help attract more visitors and increase awareness of this unique village tourism spot.

Another part of our contribution was assisting with administrative tasks at the Ganggangpanjang village head’s office. We helped staff with services such as account registration and usage of the SIPRAJA application, as well as creating official documents for local residents.

This KKN program did not only allow us to serve the community but also taught us essential life skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. The experience has left a lasting impression on me.

Participating in the Community Service Program in Ganggangpanjang Village is something I will cherish forever. It was a chance to give back to the community while gaining insight and inspiration from them. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and hope many more students can experience the same in the years to come.
